Madremía is a red wine from Toro, produced by Bodegas Divina Proporción, a winery founded in 2009. The vineyards were planted in 2010 and the first wine was released in 2011. The climate in this area is continental with Atlantic influences, characterized by very hot summers (maximum 40 degrees) and very cold winters (minimum of -10 degrees), there is a large temperature variation between days and nights. This wine is a variety of Tinta de Toro from wines over 40 years old, farmed in an environmentally friendly manner. As for processing, after manual harvesting, the grapes go into stainless steel tanks to be fermented. Subsequently, malolactic fermentation occurs in the barrel and the wine is then aged for 9 months in barrels of French and American oak.
