Description
This Champagne is a blend of the 2000 (20%), 2001 (30%) and 2002 (50%) harvests. It is a Blanc de Blancs so it is made from 100% Chardonnay. It is the most representative of the Franck Bonville Grand Cru Champagnes and has finesse, freshness, unctuousness and elegance! This easy to drink Champagne is excellent as an aperitif for special events and is also excellent with sea food. Rated 92 points: Light yellow color; good light citrus, yeasty nose; creamy mousse, tasty, tart citrus, grapefruit, chalk, lime palate; medium finish (best version of this NV I’ve tried) Richard Jennings, cellartracker Rated 90 points: I really like this for its purity and balance. Nice compact little nose. Great bubbles. This has a hint of tropical fruit that I find appealing versus the more austere Pierre Peters I’ve had. Flavors are persistent.Crisp without being drying. Nothing out of place and just wonderful. chablis28, cellartracker Rated 90 points: Fine bubbles and nice yeasty aromas, citrus zest and light body. Opened up at a champagne tasting and was a suprise to most people. Perfect bottle for an aperitif, this may become my house NV champagne now, price is low and qpr is my sweet spot.
